Join us on Saturday, January 31, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Earltown Community Centre (5527 NS-311), for an engaging and hands-on day dedicated to the future of Nova Scotia's forests!
We'll begin the afternoon indoors with an engaging conversation exploring how we can preserve the balance between conservation and sustainable forestry to protect our working forests for generations to come. Then, we’ll head outdoors for a guided walk through a nearby forest that’s conserved in partnership with the Nova Scotia Working Woodlands Trust (NSWWT).
What to expect:
Thought-provoking discussions
More information about NSWWT, Nova Scotia’s first working woodlands trust, and North Nova Forest Owners Co-Operative, a local landowner co-operative dedicated to long-term forest management
Connections with like-minded community members
A guided forest walk through a nearby NSWWT-conserved woodland
Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
